It’s launch day! My demo for this tower defense game (which I’m tentatively calling Graveyard Tower Defense) is now playable and – unless I’m about to be surprised – shouldn’t have any bugs like my first iteration of mini-golf did.

All in all, this was a great start to something I’m very excited about. I have a lot more energy for a fuller-sized version of this game than an extended mini-golf game (at least partially thanks to Construct’s apparently unsolvable golf ball physics), and some clear ideas of what I want to do next.
This took me about 10-12 hours of work, and should take you roughly 30 seconds to complete in its entirety. Love that for me.
I sort of accidentally dropped into the graveyard theming on this one – the first sprite I made was the skeleton because it seemed easy to do in 1-bit style and then animate. But I think I’m going to stick with it, as I think it gives me some license to play around with death- and graveyard-theming.
Things I want to do next iteration:
- Larger playing area (scrollable?)
- More scenery
- Pathing/turns
- Multiple enemy types
- Human grave robber
- Boss
- Change health to a number to accommodate larger totals
- More tower types (at least one)
- Tentative: necromancy mechanic
